South Holland District covers a geographical area of 74,238 hectares and is situated in the south eastern corner of Lincolnshire. The District is located in the flat fenlands that has been reclaimed from the sea over the centuries. This area has a low population with 1 person per hectare. Our population is increasing considerably with an influx of people migrating up from the south and a rise in the number of migrant workers coming to South Holland to work. The changing population has an impact on the facilities that are provided and needed by residents.
