Moulton Funding Advice Fair

If you are a voluntary and community group looking for funding ideas and advice then you need to come along to the next funding advice fair. The Council organises two funding advice fairs a year where numerous funding organisations and advice agencies attend to promote the advice and support that they can offer.

A recent funding fair was held on Tuesday 14th July at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing, University of Lincoln, Holbeach Campus. Over 65 people attended the event and were able to talk directly to a wide range of funders and advice organisations for tips on how to develop their projects and discuss what makes a successful grant application. It also gave delegates the opportunity to speak to other organisations with similar project ideas and share their experiences.

In addition to the Fair, group members were able to attend¨ six different training workshops. The topics covered included budgets, monitoring and evaluation, equality, health and safety, food and premise licensing and longer term funding. Groups could also undertake grant searches and attend tours of the campus's food production lines.

The event was jointly organised and funded by South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire County Council. Please contact Karen Johnson on 01775 764868 or e-mail karenjohnson@sholland.gov.uk for more information.
