Lincolnshire County Council have now launched their Big Society Fund. Each Councillor has been given a budget of £2,000 for 2011-12 and 2012 - 13 to award to local groups and good causes. For more details contact Grant White at Lincs CC on 01522 550522.

East Midlands Funding Advice Network have set up a funding monitoring service whereby funders, funding advisers and groups can access and share information and good practice about their funding experiences. For more details go to their Funding Monitor website at https://www.fundingmonitor.org.uk/

Money is available now for South Holland community groups to tackle crime. Priority projects will be those that are new, innovative and offer a fresh perspective on reducing crime. More details can be found at www.cdf.org.uk/web/guest/crime-innovation-fund

Grants to improve or create new playing fields are now available through the Protective Playing Field scheme launched by Sport England. More details can be found at http://www.sportengland.org/funding/protecting_playing_fields.aspx

The Police Property Act Fund is an account whereby allocations are received from the sale of recovered stolen goods or property that has been found. If the owners of the property are not traceable then the goods are sold at auction. The monies from the sale of goods are then redistributed for Police priorities or charitable good causes.


Energyshare funding now available. British Gas has committed £3m via the energy share fund to community renewable projects over the next three years. You can now register for for a chance of up to £100,000. Visit http://www.energyshare.com/fund for more details.

The BIG lottery have just announced grants of £100,000-£500,000 for village halls, community centres and memorial halls. From December 2010, grants will be available to transform current buildings into community buildings that can offer a wide range of activities. The Woodland Trust support tree planting and are giving away tree packs of 105 or 420 native species to local community groups to improve local shared spaces.


Lincs County Council has just launched its Rural Gains Grant. The grant will support rural communities to revitalise what might be the last shop or Post Office in the village or to introduce vital new services.

South Holland DC has teamed up with J4B and is now able to offer free access to comprehensive funding information of over 2,000 schemes to businesses and social enterprises. Visit the Economic Development Business pages for more details.


Media Box has launched a new fund called Mini Mediabox which will provide grants of up to £5,000 to support projects that enable young people aged 13-19 to produce their own creative media projects.

Grants are now available for groups to undertake projects that help engage and progress disadvantaged individuals into positive work. Projects should provide an opportunity for them to develop their confidence and skills and help them progress towards entering the labour market. The ESF Community Grants will award up to £10,000 for small, not for profit organisations. For more information contact Simone Upton on 01427 677377 or simone@cgpartnership.com.

Energy company E.ON have launched a new Sustainable Energy Fund providing groups with as much as £20,000 for various projects including the installation of energy efficient equipment. The E.ON grant scheme will fund projects which directly help one of the following groups: young people, the elderly and people living in fuel poverty.

Are you a charity or community group who would benefit from a lap top and broadband? If so then you might want to consider applying to BT Community Connections for a grant.

Sport England have launched a £10million programme to improve sporting provision for people living in rural areas. The minimum grant available will be £10,000. Applications can be made as of April 2009.

Do you have an idea for a project and need money to turn it into reality? UnLtd have two different levels of awards to help with the running costs of your project.

WREN (Waste Recycling Environmental) has a new small grants scheme that will support projects with a total cost of under £50,000 and grants between £2,000 and £15,000.
