Advice Agency Links

Below is an alphabetical list of organisations and agencies who may be able to provide you with valuable knowledge and expertise in all aspects of a project or groups development; from funding to volunteering to information gathering to relevant policies and procedures.

Age Concern  is the UK's largest charity working with and for older people.

British Red Cross are a volunteer led humanitarian organisation that provide help and training for people in crisis.
Business in the Community is a membership organisation that inspires, challenges, and supports its member companies to improve their positive impact on society.

Charity Commission regulates charities and holds a comprehensive list of all charities in England and Wales. They also provide advice and support to charitable organisations.
Children's Links is a local charity that exists to improve the life experiences of children, their parents and families.
Community Kit allows registered UK charities and non profit making groups to build and maintain their own website free of charge.
Community Lincs are a rural development charity providing practical support to create vibrant rural communities that are able to identify and tackle local issues.
Community Payback provides volunteers for projects that have been suggested by the local community. Volunteers are ex offenders sentenced to unpaid work.
Connexions offer advice on education, health, money and relationships for 13-19 year old in the UK.
Credit Union is a non profit making local savings and loan scheme open to anyone who lives or works in Lincolnshire.
Criminal Records Bureau an executive agency of the Home Office who vet applications for people who want to work with children and young people.

Don't Dump That is a website where people post items they don't want and people who do want it can come and take it away.

EMFF Funding Index a guide to both local, regional and  national funding organisations.
East Midlands Planning Aid Service is a charity which offers free, independent and professional advice on planning issues to community groups and individuals who cannot afford to pay for a planning consultant.
Easy Fundraising provides a free fundraising service where you can raise funds for any good cause you support when you shop online.
Energy Saving Trust support groups to save energy at whatever stage your project is at.

Freecycle hope to match up peoples old clutter with someone who can make use of it. All items posted must be free.

Handyperson Scheme - 01427 676205 available to people under 60 years who claim a disability and a means tested benefit or over 60 years and claim either one or the other.
Help the Aged are an international charity fighting to free older people from neglect, poverty and isolation.
Homestart South Holland is a local charity set up to support parents who are struggling to cope with the stresses of bringing up a young family.

In Kind Direct re distributes new goods donated by some of Britain's best known manufacturers and suppliers.
Institute of Fundraising is the professional body for fundraisers.

Law Works aims to increase the delivery of free legal advice to individuals and communities in need.
Legal Services Commission run the legal aid scheme in England and Wales working with solicitors and other organisations to get people the help they need.
Lincolnshire Association of People with Disabilities (LAPD) encourage, support and assist disabled people to make changes, both in their personal lives and community, to enable them to live their lives to the full.
Lincolnshire Community Foundation a charitable trust that manages several grant schemes that benefit people in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire CDA provide a host of support, help and guidance for social enterprises.
LCDP are a key development agency encouraging the development of community groups and facilities across Lincs.
Lincolnshire Compact is a partnership framework to promote positive working relationships between the voluntary, statutory and public sector.
Lincolnshire County Council
Lincolnshire County Council Healthy Communities team provide advice and support to the community and voluntary sector in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire Enterprise is an independent and business led partnership championing economic development across Lincolnshire.
Lincs Multi Use Centres is a website providing advice and support to multi use centres across Lincolnshire and to help promote the services that they provide in the local community.
Lincs Research Observatory a website where you can search for a variety of information about Lincolnshire and many of the key issues affecting the County.
Lincs Sports Partnership is a not for profit company working with partners to create, develop, maintain and promote a single delivery system for sport in Lincolnshire.
LINk is the Local Involvement Network - a network of individuals and groups who want to work together to improve health and social care services.
LCVYS (Lincs Council for Voluntary Youth Services) is a membership organisation that provides support services to those working with children and young people in Lincolnshire.

Migrant Workers Support is a website supporting the needs of migrant workers.

National Association for Voluntary and Community Action
is the national voice of the voluntary and community sector infrastructure in England. 
National Council for Voluntary Organisations provides a voice and support to the voluntary and community sector.
Netmums is a dedicated website for mums of babies, toddlers and school age children.

Office for National Statistics provides free access to UK national statistics from government departments including population, employment and inflation figures. 
One East Midlands works to ensure that the voluntary and community sector is actively engaged with key regional bodies and other partners, from across the public, statutory, business and social enterprise sectors.

Parkinsons Disease Society, Spalding Group provide support and information for people living with Parkinsons. They are always on the look out for more volunteers. Payroo is a free, online payroll facility.
Pro Help is a national network of professional firms who have offered to provide free professional advice and support to community groups.

Rural Action Zone  the local strategic partnership for South Holland.

South Holland Citizens Advice Bureau are a charity providing free, independent and confidential advice to help people solve their money, legal and other problems.
South Holland Community Furniture Recycling Project is a local charity that provides high quality, low cost second hand furniture to people living in the South Holland District and adjacent areas.  Local people generously donate their unwanted furniture and other household items to us (rather than send them to landfill), and we supply them to people who wish to participate in our scheme.
South Holland Radio an on line community radio station for Lincolnshire.
South Lincs Community and Voluntary Service offer a wide variety of services to support voluntary and community groups and charities across South Holland including help with constitutions, policies, funding and information.
Spalding and Peterborough Transport Forum campaign for better conditions of service and represent the commuters in the Spalding and Peterborough areas on a voice on the provision of local transport.
Sutton Bridge: Bridge for Heroes plan to renovate a currently derelict hotel in Sutton Bridge, Lincs., creating a national centre, to provide free respite holiday breaks, support and activities to any British veterans, their families and widows, plus mini-breaks for those currently serving in the armed forces.


Tax effective giving offers comprehensive information about all forms of tax effective giving, aimed at charities, fund raisers and the general public.
Tulip Radio is a local, full time community radio station for Spalding and Lincolnshire.
