Licensing Policy Statement

The Licensing Act 2003 (the Act) requires the Licensing Authority to prepare and publish a statement of its Licensing Policy every three years. This policy details how the Authority will exercise its functions under the Act.

Before determining its policy the Licensing Authority must consult with a number of Authorities and Bodies these include:

  • The police
  • The fire service
  • Representatives of licence holders
  • Local businesses and their representatives
  • Local residents and their representatives
  • The body responsible for child protection
  • Other relevant bodies

Any person wishing to make any comments on the policy should do so in writing addressed to the Food Safety and Licensing Team or email them to licensing@sholland.gov.uk.
