Great Get Together

This summer on 18 June, South Holland DC is getting involved with The Great Get Together and we'd love you to be a part of it too. The weekend will see the biggest neighbourhood celebrations since the Jubilee street parties.

Great Get Together

Communities are being invited to get together with their neighbours to share food and celebrate all that you hold in common. It could be a street party, a shared barbecue, a picnic or a bake off. What matters is that you have fun and bring your community closer together.

The Great Get Together is inspired by Jo Cox, who was killed on 16 June last year. Jo's family and friends came up with the initiative. Although this weekend is inspired by Jo Cox, people are expected to take part for many different reasons.

SHDC has organised a free family fun day featuring  garden games, live music, arts and crafts activities and family entertainment  in Ayscoughfee Gardens on Sunday 18th June 11-3pm. Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic and enjoy all the free celebrations.
