Accessing information from South Holland District Council's website is now quicker and easier, with users having the option to create their own individual online account.

The website now has a 'My Account' facility, allowing users to create personal accounts, which once logged into, instantly provides information tailored to the individual.

To create an account, visit www.sholland.gov.uk and click on the 'My Account' option at the top of the page and fill in a short form to confirm your name, address and contact details. You will also be asked to create a user name and password.

Once registered, users can log into their accounts and will be able to:

  • View their localised waste collection dates (including bank holiday variations) - This is also tied to the Garden waste service, identifying if the resident is in an area covered and if there is availability

  • View their ward councillor(s) without the need to search

  • Be notified of any local flood warnings

Being logged in via the My Account facility also allows the following online forms to be pre populated with user's personal details, making it quicker and easier for users to complete them:

  • Bulky waste

  • Garden Waste

  • Abandoned Vehicle

  • Flytipping

  • FOI request

  • Feedback form

  • Council tax online service

A spokesperson for South Holland District Council, said: "These latest improvements will help residents access personal information quickly without having to search for it.

"Last year we completely re-vamped the website and it has been positively received. We want to continue to improve it and make the process of accessing information as straightforward and as user-friendly as possible."

These latest improvements are the first of several planned website updates scheduled to take place throughout 2017.
