Christmas tree selected

This year's Christmas tree for Spalding town centre has been specially selected by a South Holland Councillor.

Cllr Jack McLean

Once again Baytree Garden Centre has kindly offered to donate the tree, which has been growing in a field near Weston.

Last week Cllr Jack McLean, Chairman of the Spalding Town Forum, was invited by Baytree's Managing Director Reinhard Biehler to pick a tree from a selection.

Mr Biehler gave Cllr McLean a guided walk through the sites and offered advice on what to look for in a good tree.

Cllr McLean said: "For years, the Baytree Garden Centre has supported the town with their donated trees but concerns were raised over a shortage of larger trees.

"Nonetheless, they have continued again for another year and we are hugely grateful for their continued support.

"Baytree is well known for the Christmas experience they offer. I look forward to sharing that experience with family and friends throughout the season both in the town centre and at Baytree."

Cllr Jack Tyrrell added that he was grateful for Baytree's support of Christmas decorations in Long Sutton in recent years.
