  • Parliamentary Elections

    Parliamentary Elections are also known as General Elections. South Holland District Council is responsible for organising the election for the South Holland and the Deepings Constituency, which covers the whole of the South Holland District and part of the South Kesteven District Council area (Deeping St James, Market Deeping and West Deeping. The maximum period allowed between UK Parliamentary elections is five years. The last Parliamentary General election was held on June 8th 2017.

  • Lincolnshire County Council Elections - 4 May 2017

    Elections of Lincolnshire County Councillors took place on Thursday 4 May 2017. Lincolnshire County Council has 70 councillors elected from the County to make county-wide decisions (such as decisions on education and social services). Within South Holland District there are 9 County Council electoral divisions electing 9 County Councillors. Each councillor is elected for a period of four years. Elections are held every four years on the first Thursday in May.

  • District and Parish Council Elections

    District Council Elections - the South Holland District is divided into 18 wards electing a total of 37 District Councillors. Each councillor is elected for a period of four years. Parish Council Elections - Within South Holland District there are 21 Parish Councils comprising a total of 217 Parish Councillors. Each councillor is elected for a period of four years. District and Parish Elections are held at the same time every four years on the first Thursday in May. The next scheduled elections will be held in 2019.

  • European Parliamentary Elections

    South Holland falls within the East Midlands Region which elects five MEPs'. Elections are held every five years, normally in June. The next election will be held in 2019.

  • Police and Crime Commissioner Elections

    The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election for the Lincolnshire area was held on Thursday 5 May 2016.
