Local Plan

The South Holland District Council Local Plan sets out the planning policies which will guide and control new development in the District until 2021.

South East Lincolnshire Local Plan

We are currently producing our new Local Plan jointly with Boston Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council.

The Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State on 23rd June 2017 and will be subject to an Examination in Public in October/November 2017. The submitted Plan identifies land, and proposes to allocate sites, for different types of development, such as housing and employment, in order to meet the area's needs, as well as identifying those areas of land which must be protected from development - perhaps because of their historic or environmental importance. It also covers a wide range of other planning related matters in the form of policies, against which planning applications can be judged.

It is estimated that it will be adopted in Spring 2018.
