South Holland is full of fascinating heritage including beautiful historic buildings, wonderful windmills and many significant churches.

South Holland is rich in history with stories to tell from the Romans to the present day.  Many heritage sites remain untouched, making the District a fascinating place to live in or visit!

Wide Horizons is a history of South Holland's Landscape and People.

Attractions include:

The larger towns in the District, Spalding, Holbeach, Long Sutton have civic societies who work to preserve and promote the heritage of their town.

Many of the churches in the District are grade I listed, and date back to a time when South Holland was particularly rich due to the wool trade.
